Gentoo is a highly customizable distro and, using Gentoo's excellent development techniques, we have created a pre-configured distribution with the tenets of Performance, Versatility, and Stability.  Please see the [[Introduction]] and [[Sabayon Linux]] sections in this Wiki, and we stress highly that you need to learn how to use the package managers [[Entropy]] and Portage ([[HOWTO: The Complete Portage Guide]]). We do stress the use of Entropy rather than Portage, but you will need to understand Portage also.

Entropy is our answer to Portage. This is a binary-based client that is designed to allow more freedom to new users, and more choices in packages in the community repos.

Sabayon Linux est basé sur la distribution Gentoo qui utilise un systeme de package basé sur les sources des programmes. Gentoo est une distro très personnalisable et en utilisant les excellentes techniques de developpement, nous avons créé une distribution pré-configurée dont les objectifs sont performance, polyvalence et stabilité.

Vous pouvez découvez vous referer aux sections Introduction et Introduction, nous vous invitons à apprendre au plus vite à utiliser notre gestionnaire de paquet Entropy et aussi portage, le gestionnaire de paquet natif Gentoo (HOWTO: The Complete Portage Guide).
