We need to start differentiating between hardware and howtos more.
If it's regarding a specific piece of hardware, it should go in hardware. If it's regarding a problem in software that is caused by a certain piece of hardware, put it in howtos.
For example: A guide on enabling a networking card goes in hardware A guide on resolving an issue between a network card and certain software goes in howtos.
